The Korean Baseball Organization. Many seasons the KBO used two standard league balls, a different ball for the first half and second half of the season. The league has had up to four different baseball manufacturers supplying official balls in the same season. We’ve found at least five different manufacturers in its short 43-year history: Skyline, Max (perhaps under SSK?), Big Line, ILB and Hard.
Each team previously chose which of the styles of standard league balls they preferred, and many used two types used interchangeably. It appears the league has recently settled on Skyline as the sole supplier for game balls, but we’re not 100% convinced there aren’t others in use, perhaps at least in practices. There are also several official on-field commemorative logo / special event game balls used each year, mostly for the All-Star Game festivities, the postseason, and Korean Series championship games. We’ll be adding many images as we get time to photograph and edit them.
