Korean Baseball Organization Standard KBO League Baseballs
The Museum of Baseballs Korea gallery features the Korean Baseball Organization (한국야구위원회), including its affiliated minor league, the KBO Futures League (퓨처스리그) and its offseason developmental league, the USLAN-KBO Fall League. For many years, the KBO used multiple standard league balls each season, and it featured up to four different baseball manufacturers supplying official balls to different teams within the same season. We’ve found at least five different manufacturers in its short 43-year history: Skyline, Max (perhaps under SSK?), Big Line, ILB and Hard.

2010–2012 (Est.) MAX KBO League Ball. 2010–2012 (Est.) Big Line KBO League Ball. 2010–2012 (Est.) Skyline KBO League Ball. 2012–2013 (Est.) Big Line KBO League Ball. 2013 Skyline KBO Pink Official League Baseball, Miranda Kerr Ceremonial First Pitch Ball at Jamsil Baseball Stadium (Game use unknown). 2022–2023 Skyline KBO League Ball. 2022 ILB KBO Futures League 40th Anniversary (Used all season).
Today (as in, 2025) the league only uses one standard official league ball, the Skyline KBO Official Ball. The league’s minor league, The Future League, uses a different ball, an ILB (I Love Baseball) Korea Baseball Organization Official Ball. This Skyline and ILB setup seems to have begun for the 2017 season, though we might be off by a year or two. The pro league’s Skyline contract was due to end in 2025. So there’s an open bidding process for 2026 and beyond to be the KBO’s official game ball supplier. Exciting!
KBO All-Star Game & Home Run Race Official Baseballs

In the past, teams chose which manufacturer’s baseballs they preferred. Several other manufacturers still make KBO baseballs exclusively for practice and BP. There are also official on-field commemorative logo / special event game balls, mostly for the All-Star Game, Home Run Race/Derby, the Futures League All-Star Game, KBO Postseason, and KBO Korean Series championship. The Home Run Race (sometimes billed Home Run Derby) and Futures All-Star Game have been very tough to track down, as have most of these specially stamped game balls until recent seasons.

KBO Futures League All-Star Game Baseballs
The KBO Futures League is the Korean Baseball Organization’s minor league, consisting of the Northern League and Southern League. The Futures All-Star Game is not the same as Major League Baseball’s MLB “All-Star Futures Game.” It’s closer to Minor League Baseball’s (MiLB) Triple-A All-Star games. It does take place during the KBO’s All-Star weekend however, at the same stadium as the main event.

2014 KBO Futures All-Star Game, Gwangju-Kia Champions Field, Gwangju. 2016 ILB KBO Futures All-Star Game, Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul. 2017 ILB KBO Futures All-Star Game, Daegu. 2019 ILB KBO Futures All-Star Game Changwon.
