A new All-Star Futures Game commemorative logo baseball has been revealed!
Check it out below. Baseballs featuring the new design will be used on the field at the future stars game. The game takes place July 12, 2025, at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia as part of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week festivities and events.
That new logo is the good news. Sure, it’s still tiny. But it’s a real logo, with actual design elements! Not just words. This is a welcomed change from the routine text-based logo which was used for far too long.
It only took 10 seasons for a change. Check out the history of MLB Futures Game Logo balls. Mockups for the new All-Star Futures balls, 2025 Rawlings MLB All-Star Home Run Derby standard white game baseballs and the Magenta MoneyBall Bonus Ball have also been unveiled:

Unfortunately for creatives and design enthusiasts, the 2025 HRD logo is a snoozer once again.
This marks zero changes in a decade for our prized MLB HR Derby Official Major League Baseballs. (Not including minor stamp size adjustments.) It’s still sponsored by T-Mobile, so I guess they ain’t complaining? At least MLB corporates are still allowing colorful bonus baseballs to be used. We sure would like to see some new ideas there though.
How about a new leather color each season based on the host team? Multicolor ink stamping? Multicolor threads within both laces? Gold or silver flake- or foil-infused laces? Or try two different colors of leather covers? If it must be magenta for T-Mobile’s brand, I’d still experiment. How about an all-magenta derby baseball with white ink and white laces just once? Variety is the spice of life, people! Please give us something different once in a while, like the hit Rawlings Team Series collection!
Also note: no sponsor logo on the Futures Game ball. SiriusXM was dropped from the ROMLB-ASF game balls last season. What gives? They renewed their broadcasting agreement in 2023 for 5 more seasons, so they’re still a league partner. Not that I’m complaining, corporate sponsor logos rarely add value to these special commemorative marks.
UPDATE: Official Game Balls Added!

It’s nice to see an actual logo on the 2025 futures, but once again the HRD baseball disappoints. I think the best solution would be if MLB went back to what they did in 2009 where the Futures and HRD logos where derivations of that year’s ASG logo.
